Andre Deymonaz

Born in Casablanca in 1946, Andre spent much of his childhood travelling, his family eventually returning to France to settle in Provence.

His family were all artistic, enjoying painting and drawing, but for Andre painting was to become his passion. He grew up dreaming that one day he would be able to fulfil his greatest ambition, which was to become a professional artist. The dream was to be realised once demand for his originals outstripped his ability to supply. With the support of his wife, Chantel, Andre went from strength to strength with one successful exhibition after another.

Andre’s strength comes from his unique style and his ability to paint both landscape and the human form within its natural surroundings. This allows him to approach so many subjects such as market scenes, village life, landscape and the study of everyday life in Provence.

His paintings ooze the warmth of the sun and call us back to memories of the Mediterranean and it’s simple rustic life. Andre is a rare artist, he is the cheerful witness of everyday life, and his paintings make us yearn to return to that
special place.
