Carole Baker
Born 1965 in Staffordshire, attending Matthew Boulton College of Art, Carole became an associate member of RBSA in 2003.
On her travels in the UK, and abroad, she sketches prolifically and gathers enough information for months and years ahead. Often she will revisit a subject and give it a totally new approach. Carole paints how she feels about a subject as opposed to copying literally.
She paints in a variety of media, including watercolour and acrylics, as well as mixed media incorporating indian ink, watercolour, gouache, acrylic and pastel - always looking for new ways to work and ways to manipulate the paint.
Carole makes use of bold, vibrant colour and texture to create moving and evocative images.
