Artist: Michael Morgan RI SWAc About the artist: Michael Morgan is a member of the prestigious Royal Institue of Painters in Watercolours and a founding Academician at The South West Academy of Fine and Applied Arts. He holds the RI Medal for his outstanding work and was awarded their Landscape Prize in 2001. Michael's innovative and much sought after paintings have been illustrated or featured in many publications. He has based his approach to picture making on Goethe's simple advice that the art of painting is to see beyond the every day familiar vision of things. This he has done with astonishing success. Michael's style is distinctive, with his trademark "isolated cottage" set usually in moorland scenery. No animate objects disturb the scene.
