Robert Bashford
Robert Bashford was born in 1965 and lives’ in West Berkshire and has been painting since the mid 80's. Robert is a self-taught artist, having started with watercolours but made the change to oils after reading about plein air painting and now prefers to paint on site when possible. He has taken part in open studio exhibitions and has exhibited in London with the Royal Society of British artists at the Mall Galleries and also at the Patching Art Festival where he won the Dewernt award. Robert’s main interests lie in light and colour and he likes to travel light when he is out painting preferring to use a Pochade box.
